This weekend is the "Tax-free Weekend". Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, August 17-19, clothes under $100 have no state taxes in Texas.

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is going on now- including fall fashions.

DSW still has shoes on clearance- some are up to 80% off. I just purchased a fabulous pair of Ralph Lauren pumps there. They are perfect for fall and I only paid $22 for them; they were originally $110.

Off 5th Saks Fifth Avenue Outlet has a special for one day only on Saturday, July 21st. Spend $100, get a gift card for $20; spend $250, get a gift card for $50; the rewards go up all the way to a gift card for $400 when you spend $2000 or more.

Macy's has summer clothing on clearance for up to 75% off.

Steinmart has its red dot clearance sale going on this weekend (Fri, July 20th through Sunday, July 22nd).

Now is the perfect time to go shopping, because you have access to a great selection of the new fall fashions, and you can get summer clothing at great discounts.

New online store from Amazon for shoes and handbags.

Amazon has a new online store, called Endless that sells shoes and handbags. Overnight shipping is free.

Personally, I don't know how you can buy shoes without trying them on or handbags without feeling the leather, but it's always good to have options. DSW is still my favorite store for buying shoes, and you can't beat the service at Nordstrom (you certainly won't get that from an online retailer).
